What is Divine Health?
Divine health simply means living in the supernatural soundness of the body. The body is the physical part of man / woman that houses the spirit and the soul.
Gen. 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breathe of life; and man became a living soul.
God therefore, is interested in what happens to our body. He is interested in how we keep the body that He formed to house His Spirit and the Living Soul. It is this desire that Paul expressed in 3 John 2 when he said: Brethren, I wish above all that you will prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers.
That is, it is not enough if your soul is living well because it needs the body to even continue to grow. It is therefore, important that the body should be healthy. In fact, God Himself dwells in our heart which is the inner part and works through our body.
As against the human understanding that as we grow older, we become sickly, divine health is not only for the young alone but for all, regardless of your age. It was testified about Moses in Det.34:7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. Jacob for example in Gen. 43: 28, And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.. Jacob was in good health even at a very old age.
Divine health can even be generational and a possession of a whole nation through salvation i.e. it is not just an individual possession but a whole generation/ nation read Ps 67: 2, That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Throughout all the 40 years journey of Israel from Egypt to Canaan, none of them was feeble.
What is the Secret?
I will shock you a little that divine health is not dependent solely on what we eat alone and the exercise that we do. Yes, a little portion is attributed to it but it is God Himself that is our health; He is the health of our faces through His glory. He makes our bodies to glow in sound health.
Ps. 42: 11Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
If it were through dietary and medical treatment or advise alone am sure the woman with the issue of blood would not have pressed so hard just to be healed.
Since God cannot be separated from His Word, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is health to all our flesh i.e as a Healing Friend, He keeps healing us every time. How you may ask? Through the word of God; the spoken word of God called the Bible and the Spirit of God that indwells us.
Psalm 107:20He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions
Another secret is through the proper use of our tongue.
Prov. 12 :18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
Good health can be spoken. Speak wisely and you will continually be in health. Speak piecing words and sickness will live with you. Learn to always speak graceful words to yourself and others and I tell you good health will live with you always. When a man is weak, pleasant and encouraging words brings healing to his body Pr. 16: 24 . Say Father! Pour you grace upon my lips like you poured upon the lips of your Son in Jesus Name. Amen.
As believers let’s speak good health to other believers like Paul whose wish is for us to be in health because our body is the show room of our inside.
Faith: let’s read Prov. 13:17, A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health. a faithful ambassador is health, to add to your tongue by speaking good things in all situations is faith; believe. You must have faith in the word of God that Good Health is yours. In fact, Christ told the Syrophoenician woman that healing is the bread of Children; i.e. it is the least that God gives His Children every day. Study the scriptures and you will understand that all most all the miracles of Jesus were on healing. Throughout all His earthly journey, He was never sick, yes times when He wept, slept and even hungered but Never sick. Build up your faith in the Ever- Healing Jesus Christ.
Note: God uses good health to shame our enemies. Never you mock either by gossiping or backbiting around when someone especially a child of God is sick, instead pray for that person because the Almighty will restore the person’s health.
Jer. 8 : 15. Since we are made of dust, we sometime feel weak but even at that it is for a time and that is why Jesus who is our Healer forever has gone ahead of us to prepare a place where we can never be sick not even a feeling of tiredness. Praise God!!!!!!!!!

God is willing and ready to give divine health as a heritage, but it is only those who are saved. It does not matter how dirty your life has been, He would wash you in the blood of Jesus and you would be whiter than snow. Please open your heart to accept His Son the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour and you will be saved. If you want to surrender to Jesus Christ, please say the following prayers:
Dear Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, please have mercy on me and forgive me all my sins. I accept You today as my Lord and personal Saviour. Please write my name in the Book of Life and give me Your Holy Spirit to help me in my journey to Heaven in Jesus Name. Amen.
